Made a trip to the DMV today to get my CA registration, plates and Drivers license. It was an interesting place to observe......people....patience (or lack thereof)....state politics (CA is bankrupt, and DMVs have a furlough in effect....closed on most Fridays of the month...lines out the door....tired and impatient constituents...tired and impatient workers...etc.). It was really interesting to me that they don't take credit cards. I had to write a check. And they stamped it...the old fashioned way, instead of running it through some instant check scan. It was weird. But, I got my temporary registration, and will go back soon for a smog inspection, and will get my permanent registration/license and plates. Oh, good times.
I drove home, and enjoyed watching the whimsical fog drifting and billowing around the road, and over the mountain tops.
When I got home, I snapped some pics of the twilight and fog. It was beautiful. The only contrast happened to be the foghorns. The peace and quiet would be shattered momentarily by the long and low blasts of the foghorns. It was kinda cool.
