MOXIE: Pride and Prejudice Rain

Best conflict in a movie..........and piece of literature...........ever.

"And those are the words of a gentleman? From the moment I met you your arrogance and conceit and your selfish disdain for the feelings of others made me realize that you are the last man in the world I could ever be prevailed upon to marry."

Protagonist..........Antagonist.............Hero.............Antihero..........Drama.............Conflict.........Struggle........

Which are you in this life?

Would you rather risk being uncomfortable, and initiate change? To try to initiate improvement by standing your ground? Speaking your mind? Challenging something you were not in agreement with?

Or would you avoid conflict? Remain reticent? Embrace passivity and complacency..........all for the sake of avoiding conflict?

No life story is complete without drama.......without the struggle between the hero and the antihero.

The Protagonist represents our Initiative, the motivation to change the status quo. To force improvements. To initiate change for the better.

The Antagonist embodies our Reticence to change the status quo.

These are perhaps our two most obvious human traits - the drive to alter our environment and the drive to keep things the way they are.

That is likely why the Archetypes that represent them are usually the two most visible in a story.

The book is the crucible, and the story is the chemical reaction between the characters.

Would life be interesting without the archetypal conflicts? Without the drama? Would you enjoy bliss and pleasure without the struggles and pain? Would sweet taste sweet if you didn't know bitter?
