The Great Chocolate Experiment....

My local grocery store, Mollie Stones, has, to my great detriment, a nirvana aisle.

There are shelves and shelves of organic and fair trade chocolates tempting you at your every step.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to get down the aisle without succumbing to the urges of your internal sweet tooth!

Even if you tell yourself NO....your eyes gaze longingly......your fingers reach and tenderly graze over each bar....carefully selecting each one to determinedly and intentionally study the delectable contents........

This chocolate aisle is my ACHILLES HEEL!  Each bar is an exotic blend of dark decadence....filled with all sorts of spices from faraway places, chilly peppers, fruits, nuts, and loads of powerful anti-aging antioxidants, and...let us not forget that eating chocolate prompts the release of certain chemicals in the brain, such as dopamine, that produce feelings of PLEASURE!

It is thus that I am now conducting my own Great Chocolate Experiment............and, will share my scientific findings with you, lucky reader!

Here are my first few 'culinary trials':
