Learning to crochet...

My grandmother (mom's mom) taught me to crochet when I was LITTLE. I remember doing the chain stitch, but never made anything that I can remember. Mom taught me to needlepoint and I DID finish some projects for her, but somehow didn't continue being so 'crafty' into adulthood. I think dental school killed it for me in terms of using my hands. But now, I am giving it another shot! I took a knitting class over the winter at Bluebird Yarn & Fiber Crafts here in Sausalito with my neighbor Chrissy (CQ), and had a blast. Knitting still feels a bit awkward, as you are using two needles. Taking a crochet class today was fun, and I was amazed how quickly it came back to me. It's WAY easier for me using one hook...as opposed to two needles BUT....I shall KEEP AT IT!! Chiaki is the sweetest and most patient teacher EVER, and she does kick-ass work!

I want to create some masterpieces, and give them to friends/family, and perhaps even give some away for charity.

Stop on over at Bluebird sometime, and create something with us!  Bluebird Yarn and Fiber Crafts

I Stay tuned.....
